Odor Control in Wastewater Systems is a two-hour Bring Your Own Lunch & Learn designed for wastewater collections and treatment professionals seeking a practical understanding of odor management, with a focus on hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). 

Participants will examine how H₂S forms and is released within wastewater systems, the associated impacts on worker safety, infrastructure corrosion, regulatory compliance, and community relations, and the importance of distinguishing wastewater odors from other common odor sources. The course also explores sampling and detection methods, prevention and treatment strategies, and the operational considerations of common odor control technologies. Through real-world examples and best practices, attendees will learn how to support a data-driven odor management program that improves decision-making, prioritizes resources, and shifts utilities from reactive complaint response to proactive odor control.
